Book Clubs & Mini Library: The Hobby Place successfully runs four book clubs in Mysore. And we are soon planning to start an online book club for men and women, to encourage a community of readers in our country.
We have two English Book Clubs And One Kannada Book Club for Women and a Book club for Kids to kickstart your child’s reading habits by helping them discover the joys of reading and encourage a community of young readers.
It’s more fun to read the same book with your buddies, which is why book clubs are especially great for reluctant readers. Children aim to read the suggested “book of the month”. Whether your child’s a bookworm or a struggling reader, sharing a book with a friend and reading together is way more fun than reading solo.
Gifts of appreciation will be awarded at every meeting to the star reader who comes to the meeting reading the book and answers all the questions asked by the facilitator. Annually, every child will get a personalized certificate to appreciate their achievement. Special events will include, author meets, storytelling/story writing sessions & more.
Our Mini Library has a lovely collection of books in English for kids and adults and Kannada novels for adults.
